Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Every White Settlement ISD campus has a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), an advocacy organization for children that promotes parent involvement and spends countless hours organizing and directing informative programs and workshops to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their kids. The PTA teaches parents ways to keep children safe, trouble-free and involved in school. It provides an opportunity for parents to meet and talk with others who have the same concerns, and it gives them a support system and introduces them to new activities and opportunities to share their special talents. As a PTA member, you are more likely to be an informed, involved parent. Studies have shown that membership in PTA provides your child and other kids around you with a greater chance of achieving in school. The campus PTAs meet monthly.
