Head Start is currently enrolling three and four year olds for the 2017-18 school year. Head Start is a federally-funded program, and pre-school children who turn three or four years old by Sept. 1 may qualify for the program based on age, income, family size, and other factors.
Children attend Head Start from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Head Start building, located at 728 Comal in White Settlement. The program provides full-day, early education using research-based curriculum, nutritious meals, health screenings, family services, child assessments, and services for children with special care needs.

Parents should bring the following:
1. Income tax for 2016
2. Proof of address
3. Proof of Medicaid or Insurance
4. Child's Birth certificate, Immunization records and social security card. If child has a disability, please bring ARD or current ECI paperwork.
5. Food stamp/WIC letter
6. Parent's ID
