School Board

The Board of Trustees consists of seven elected citizens who are active in a variety of school, business and community groups. The Board offers stability and leadership to the district and sets the tone for educational improvement. Trustees serve overlapping terms of three years. Candidates run for specific places but do not represent certain geographical areas. Elections are conducted the first Saturday in May and two or three places are filled each year.

Regular scheduled board meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month in the Board Room of the White Settlement ISD Administration Building, located at 8224 White Settlement Road. Citizens are encouraged to attend.

After these monthly meetings, the WSISD Board Minutes are posted for interested community members to review.

Notice of Trustee Vacancy and Invitation for Applications

The White Settlement ISD Board of Trustees will accept applications from qualified individuals interested in appointment to fill two vacancies on the Board of Trustees Aug. 18, 2026 to Aug. 28, 2026. Applicants would fill the vacant terms until the May 1, 2027 election. 

Qualifications
Applicants must:

  • Be a registered voter.
  • Have resided continuously in Texas for at least 12 months.
  • Have resided continuously within White Settlement ISD for at least six months immediately preceding appointment.
  • Meet all qualifications required by the Texas Constitution, Texas Election Code, Texas Education Code, and Board policy.

Application Information
Applications must be obtained from the White Settlement ISD Administration Building, 8224 White Settlement Road Aug. 18 through 27, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 28, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applicants should indicate the trustee position for which they are applying.

Application Deadline:
Friday, Aug. 28, 2026 at 5 p.m.

Interview Process
Qualified applicants may be invited to interview with the Board of Trustees at a Special Called Meeting.

Anticipated Board Action
The Board anticipates considering appointments the month of September 2026. The Board reserves the right to modify the timeline, reopen the application process, or take any other action authorized by law.
