For the second consecutive year, Brewer High School sophomore Josue Rodriguez was selected to perform with the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Band, the highest honor a high school musician can achieve. He placed second overall in the final auditions, earning 1st Chair Clarinet in the All-State Symphonic Band and performing throughout the concert as a featured soloist.

During the TMEA Convention, he rehearsed with world-renowned conductors, attended workshops and concerts, and performed with the Texas All-State Band.

Only 2 percent of 70,000 students who audition make a performing group for All-State, and more than 1,000 clarinetists auditioned this year.
