Fightin' Bear Band advances to UIL Area Competition

For the 11th consecutive year, the Brewer High School Fightin' Bear Band earned the highest possible rating at the UIL Region 30 Band Competition, and they'll advance to Area!

Last weekend, the band won first place in Woodwinds and Visual and finished a highly competitive showcase with third place overall. The Percussion also earned a 2nd place in the Percussion Standstill Competition.

Featured performers are: Cadence Dixon, Color Guard; Cooper Waldron, tuba; Josue Rodriguez, clarinet; Myles Pearce, bassoon; Jacob Mohman, Soprano Sax; and Ryan Willis and Ayden Veloz, mellophone duet.

Drum Majors are: Sophia Williams, Daniel Rodriguez, Rahston Herring and Natalia Navarro. Color Guard Captain is Evelyn Quezada, and Drumline Captain is Alex Floyd.

Band Directors are Andrew Williams, Stephanie Ballaro and Keith Duke. Color Guard Director is Nathanael Esparza.

They will compete in the UIL Area Competition in the Birdville Fine Arts Activity Complex on Nov. 1.
