Students from every school recently showed their appreciation for the WSISD Board of Trustees during a School Board Recognition Month ceremony. This year’s theme is Our Future is Public.

“In a time when we are ALL fighting for public education, I am so proud to work alongside a group of trustees who continually advocate for our schools and our kids,” said Superintendent Frank Molinar said. “You prioritize equipping EVERY child with the resources he or she needs to excel academically, and you advocate for all of our programs including fine arts, athletics and CTE, so our kids can have meaningful experiences and opportunities that prepare them for college, careers, and their future.”

Trustees are: (l-r) Amanda Sanchez, John Bradley, Glen Lowry, Ben Davis, Krystal Arnold, John Morton and Raymond Patterson.

Students are:  Olivia Torres, Brewer Middle School; Trinity Dickinson and Abby Ferguson, Brewer High School; JoeRudy Guerrero,  West Early Learners Academy; Israel Casillas, Liberty Elementary; Phoebe Salas, Blue Haze Elementary; Hollis Hicks, Fine Arts Academy at Tannahill; and Nadya Orozco, North STEAM Academy.
