Brewer High School Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members competed at the Texas FCCLA State Leadership Conference.
The Food Innovations Team of Christian Cavazos, Guillermo Esparza and Joseph Hernandez won first place for their project, Thanksgiving in a Jar, and they will advance to nationals in Anaheim, Ca. this summer!
The Culinary Arts Team of Derek Adkins, McKenna Brown and Alysa Evans (not pictured) earned third place.
Members also took the Family and Consumer Science Assessments and earned medals. Joseph Hernandez won silver, and Brown, Esparza, Evans and Taylor Ramirez won bronze.
Ramirez and Natalie Brightman competed in Focus on Children, and Kelsi Dede (not pictured) competed in Recycle and Redesign.
Seth Caldwell (not pictured) began his first official duties as Region II VP of Membership and represented Brewer and the region.
