Blue Haze Elementary students in Jennifer Duddington and Jane Lowry's class didn't need the traditional pencil and paper to practice their writing skills.
Their teachers received a $1,400 We’ve Got the "Write” Stuff, Let’s Boogie grant from the White Settlement ISD Education Foundation to purchase Boogie Board Writing Tablets. The smart, electronic notepads enable kids to write with a Stylus pen and erase with the touch of a button.
"Students got excited about writing again," said Duddington. "They eagerly came to class to see how we'd be using them, and other students asked to come to our class because the kids were talking about the tablets."
