Liberty Elementary third graders had the opportunity to learn coding and programming with Dash Robots.
Teacher Brittani Thomas received an Innovative Teaching grant from the White Settlement ISD Education Foundation to implement the program.
“It’s so cool that you can program the robot on the iPad and then they communicate with each other, then the robot does what you tell it to," said Ethan Simon. "I can basically make it do anything.”
Thomas said students were asked to follow vague instructions which required them to creatively program the robots.
"This gave them the opportunity to work in groups to brainstorm a plan, test their plan, and present the final product," she said.
