For Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the Spanish 1 classes also displayed their ofrendas (alters) as part of the gallery walk.

Students learned about the Spanish culture and traditions in addition to speaking, reading and writing.

The event included the traditional Pan de Muerto (bread for the dead), in which bread is cut to remember deceased loved ones. Students are pictured with Superintendent Frank Molinar.
