Tannahill and Fine Arts Academy Teams Win Awards at Edible Car Contest

Twelve teams from Tannahill Intermediate and the Fine Arts Academy competed in the 2020 TWU Edible Car Contest on Feb. 21, and White Settlement ISD schools won four of the 10 awarded categories.Twelve teams from Tannahill Intermediate and the Fine Arts Academy competed in the 2020 Texas Wesleyan University  Edible Car Contest on Feb. 21 and won four of the 10 awarded categories.
 
The sixth grade GLO students designed and built small cars made entirely of edible products. They were judged for creativity, ingenuity and speed performance.  
 
The Olive Gardeners (Abby Ferguson, Brennan Barton, Kaylee Osterman and Jensen Manz) won Most Unique. 
 
The Campers team of Ava Johnston, Colton Heritage, Scarlet Reyes and Lucas Martinez (not pictured) received Best Use of Materials and 2nd Fastest Time (1.56 seconds). 
 
The Disco Peeps of Macie Munoz, Nirav Pokhrel, Jaxson Westbrook and Inara Mihalicz earned 3rd Place Overall. 
 
Teacher Loretta Haley received a medal recognizing her active involvement and support for the Edible Car Contest.
