Eight Brewer High School students earned the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to become medical assistants.
Students pursuing the Health Science career pathway learn patient care, CPR, the Heimlich, phlebotomy and much more as part of the program.
Sierra Young said, "By time I get to nursing school, I'll have work experience in the medical field."
Abigail Joynt plans to work at a small ER while in college to pursue a nursing degree, setting her on a path for a career in pediatrics.
Anna Moran plans to work as a medical assistant while earning her basics to pursue a nursing degree. She plans to become a neonatal nurse.
