The Brewer High School Fightin’ Bear Band competed at the Area F UIL Marching competition Saturday, advancing to finals and earning a final ranking of 8th out of 31 bands in the Area.
“Our band competes in the most competitive 5A Area in the state,” said Director Andrew Williams. “I’m so incredibly proud of our kids and so thankful for the largest and loudest group of supporters of all the bands!”
Drum Majors are Kennedy Coyle, Lucas Williams, Jasmine Medina and Maggie Santos. Color Guard Captains are Erin Underwood and Nikki Nevins, and Drumline Captain is Coen Herring.
Featured performers are: Erica Rodriguez, Artur Kuchurivsky, Jorge Alvarado, Samantha Vessels and Zach Gonzales.
Brass ensemble featured performers are: Jorge Alvarado, Zach Gonzales, Garrett Bradshaw, Antonio Samano, Johnas Lenartowitz, Ewan Hayman and William Perkins.
Actors are Brennan Caraveau and Emily Stephens.
The show, “Medal of Honor,” pays tribute to former and current members of the Armed Forces.
