Blue Haze Elementary launched a student-led production studio this year, with the help of a WSISD Education Foundation innovative teaching grant.
Four podcast teams of fourth graders nominated by their teachers learned how to record and produce a complete podcast.
“They’ve learned that becoming a famous streamer is a much harder career than it appears to be,” said grant recipient Kelley Sanders. “They learned a lot about team work, planning, and time management as well as how to use the broadcasting equipment.”
In the future, students with the BBB will create pre-recorded news broadcasts that will be aired during morning announcements.
