Fifteen members of the Brewer High School National English Honor Society traveled to London over Spring Break as part of the London Shakespeare Theatre Trip.
Students had the opportunity to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace, where they saw his home, grave and wife's house (Anne Hathaway). They also visited the Globe Theatre, Windsor Castle, The Tower of London, Buckingham Place, The British Museum, The Museum of Natural History, Westminster Abbey and The London Eye, and they attended two theatre productions.
Students learned about King Henry VIII and saw his home and armor, and they took a cruise on the Thames River and went to St. Paul’s Cathedral, where portions of Mary Poppins were filmed.
Students were: Alexcianna Diaz, Alicia Quiñones, Ana Martinez Ordoñez, Cali Benton, Christopher Williams, Deara Wheaton, Deems Manandhar, Grant Baldwin, Haley Ainsworth, Kaitlyn Shamburger, Kalin Benedict, Madalyn Zapata, Payton Rothenberger, Rachael Palacio and Samantha Quiñones.
