WSISD Hires New Special Progams Director

White Settlement ISD recently hired Michael Pogue as its new special programs director. Ronda Wright, who previously held the position, retired this spring. She'll serve part-time as the district's Federal Programs Director.

Special Services Director in Lake Worth ISD for the past two and a half years, Pogue has a 19-year career in special education.

A Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP), Pogue was a Special Education Evaluation Consultant for the Education Service Center Region XI, and he served in Northwest ISD as an Evaluation Staff Coordinator, special education teacher, and evaluation staff member/LSSP.

"We will continue to build capacity with our special education staff and raise instructional expectations so our students can have an even greater quality of life when they leave White Settlement ISD," he said.

Pogue has a master of science degree in school psychology.
