Brewer High School's 1,900-member student body got a sneak peek of the University of North Texas' Eagle Advantage program during a school-wide pep rally—led by UNT—on Sept. 8.
Starting this year, Brewer will participate in the Eagle Advantage program in which juniors in the top 20 percent of their class earn guaranteed admission to UNT.

"We want to give our kids as many opportunities as possible to pursue a higher education, and this partnership with UNT is just one additional avenue that can make that a reality for our kids," said Lea Duncan, Brewer High School's Dean of College and Career Readiness.
The Eagle Advantage program offers unconditional admission to the top 20 percent of ranked juniors and provides a $1,000 scholarship for one graduate who plans to attend UNT, evening financial aid and college prep workshops for families, AND a dedicated admissions counselor who will serve as a liaison between the university and Brewer.
