Students in the Spanish classes at Brewer Middle School recently shared Mexican culture with their peers. In honor of the Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), students created a gallery walk in the cafeteria in which they wrote about their deceased loved ones and drew pictures in their honor.
Day of the Dead is a multi-day holiday that focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died.
The students celebrated the holiday with refreshments. The project was a joint effort with the Spanish Department, Art Department, and Home Economics Department.
