Lockheed Martin Recognized for Awarding $32,735 Project Lead the Way Grant to WSISD

White Settlement ISD and the WSISD Education Foundation recently recognized Lockheed Martin Aeronatics Company. Last winter, Lockheed awarded the district a $32,735 Project Lead the Way grant.
The grant enabled Brewer High School's Project Lead the Way engineering program to purchase supplies such as circuits, a 3-D printer, laptops, Arduono boards and more for the Digital Electronics class.
Students can now create live circuits, expanding on their paper designs and enabling them to experience not only the concept of circuitry but an end-product.
Brewer High School now offers Introduction to Engineering Design, Digital Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, and Unmanned Aircraft Systems as part of Project Lead the Way.

Lockheed has also sponsored the Perfect Attendance Bike Giveaway for 20 consecutive years, awarding a new bike to 10 elementary students every year.
