For the 15th consecutive year, White Settlement ISD received an A rating for Superior Achievement under Texas’ School FIRST financial accountability rating system. The Superior Achievement rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of WSISD’s financial management and reporting system.
This is the 15th year of Schools FIRST (Financial Accountability Rating System of Texas), a financial accountability system of Texas school districts developed by the Texas Education Agency. The primary goal of Schools FIRST is to achieve quality performance in the management of school district’s financial resources, a goal made more significant due to the complexity of accounting associated with Texas’ school finance system.
"This rating shows that White Settlement ISD schools are accountable not only for high student achievement but also for ensuring that we do this in the most cost effective and efficient way possible,” said Superintendent Frank Molinar.
WSISD was also ranked #2 by the Education Resource Group as one of 10 most efficient school districts among the largest school districts in Texas.
"We're very excited because this confirms that we've achieved our goal of lowering our spending index over a five-year period," said Molinar.
