Tannahill GLO students win five of eight awards at TWU's Edible Car Contest

Tannahill Intermediate's sixth grade GLO students won five of eight awards at the Texas Woman's University 20th annual Edible Car Contest on Jan. 26.

The teams have won three or more of the eight contest awards four consecutive years.

Students spent several weeks planning and designing their vehicles made completely of edible materials. The judging focused on ingenuity, mobility, design and the ability to roll down an incline with the fastest speed.

The Team Titans consisting of Jason Martinez, Ashley Reyes, Alexia Terrazaz and Samuel Burns won first place and the Fastest Time Award.

The Pig Miners team of Jessie McDowell, Ana Rivera, Esteban Garcia and Alex Boland earned second place and the Fastest Time Award.

The Cosmos team of Zion Curb, Allyssa Ferris, Sabrina Bhattarai and Jocelyn Webb won the Most Unique Award.
