Martians stole all the narwhals at Blue Haze Elementary so the school's third graders went on a mission to find them! The teachers became green aliens, and their classrooms were turned into Neptune, Saturn and Mars.
To review for their benchmarks, students had to go on a mission and solve math problems as a team. Solving the problems enabled them to visit a new planet to search for the narwhals.
While on the planets, the kids used their science vocabulary about the planets they'd studied to crack the code and receive a clue to the Narwhals' location.
When they discovered the narwhal, they took a "narwhal quiz," created by students in the school's Narwhal Club, and received their very own narwhal to take home.
Teachers are: Ashley Conine, Ashley Caldwell, Trinity Hill, Catie Holub and Marissa Torres.
