The Brewer High School Culinary Arts Team of Aaron Miller, Brooke Bailey and Michael Lozada won first place at the State FCCLA competition, and they'll advance to the National Competition!
The Life Event Planning team of Noemi Sanchez, Juanita Ramos and Marie Ruiz won third, advancing to nationals as an alternate team.
The Culinary Arts Team of Place McKenna Brown, Alysa Evans and Frank Davis earned third place.
Seventeen students competed.
Hailey Campbell, Taylor Ramirez and Juanita Ramos won a Gold in Family and Consumer Science Assessment - Etiquette, and Elyssa Mindieta, Sarahi Castillo and Noemi Sanchez took Silver Medals.
Christopher Ramsey earned a Bronze Medal in Family and Consumer Science Assessment - Hospitality.
Other students who competed were: Matthew Pelton, Jacque Reid, and Kaitlyn Shamburger in Focus on Children; Christopher Ramsey in Applied Math for Culinary Arts; and Elyssa Mindieta and Sarahi Castillo in Entrepreneurship.
