Andrew Williams has been a music educator in Texas for 30 years. Mr. Williams began his teaching career in 1992 at Rosemont Middle School in Ft. Worth, where he taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Beginners, Concert Bands, Jazz Bands, and Mariachi. He teamed up with his former High School Director and mentor, Ed Martinez, when North Crowley High School opened in 1998, where he served as Assistant High School and Head Director for Crowley Middle School and the 9th Grade campus. He was named Head Band Director in 2005 and served in that position until joining WSISD in 2015. In addition to serving as Head Band Director, Mr. Williams is also the WSISD Director of Fine Arts.

Mr. Williams earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University, where he majored in Music Education and minored in English. He performed on Euphonium, Guitar, and Percussion for the marching, concert and jazz bands. In 2010, he earned his Master’s degree from Lamar University in Education Administration and is an active member of Texas Music Adjudicators Association and Texas Music Educators Association.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, writing songs, and performing live with his band “Little Green Men” (you can find them on iTunes), as well as fishing, swimming, and biking. His greatest accomplishment and composition is his family: wife Christina and their five children, Andrew, Lucas, Aurora, Sophia, and Matthias. And their dog - Blue.
