The Board of Trustees consists of seven elected citizens who are active in a variety of school, business and community groups. The Board of Trustees offers stability and leadership to the district and sets the tone for educational improvement. Trustees serve overlapping terms of three years. Candidates run for specific places but do not represent certain geographical areas. Elections are conducted the first Saturday in May and two or three places are filled each year.

Regular scheduled board meetings begin at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month in the Board Room of the White Settlement ISD Administration Building located at 401 S. Cherry Lane. Citizens are encouraged to attend.
After these monthly meetings, the WSISD Board Minutes are posted for interested community members to review.
In accordance with District policy BED(LOCAL), any person wishing to address the Board during the period reserved for public comment at a Board meeting must sign up to be heard that evening no later than five minutes prior to the regularly scheduled meeting.
  1. Each participant will be limited to five minutes to make comments to the Board.
  1. Any group of five or more persons must appoint one person to present the group’s views to the Board.
  1. The Board is not permitted to discuss or act upon any issues that are not posted on the agenda for the  meeting. The Board has adopted complaint policies that are designed to secure, at the lowest possible administrative level, a prompt and equitable resolution of complaints and concerns. Each of these processes provides that, if a resolution cannot be achieved administratively, the person may appeal the administrative decision to the Board as a properly posted agenda item. For further information on those policies, contact Tim Duncan, Director of Human Resources and Community Relations.
