The Board of Trustees consists of seven elected citizens who are active in a variety of school, business and community groups. The Board offers stability and leadership to the district and sets the tone for educational improvement. Trustees serve overlapping terms of three years. Candidates run for specific places but do not represent certain geographical areas. Elections are conducted the first Saturday in May and two or three places are filled each year.
Regular scheduled board meetings begin at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month in the Board Room of the White Settlement ISD Administration Building located at 401 S. Cherry Lane. Citizens are encouraged to attend.
After these monthly meetings, the WSISD Board Minutes are posted for interested community members to review.
In accordance with District policy BED (LOCAL), any person wishing to address the Board during the period reserved for public comment at a Board meeting must sign up to be heard the day of the meeting between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. For special board meetings, sign up is from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. the day before the meeting.
