Contracts and Procurement Transparency Information

White Settlement ISD follows a decentralized business model with each department handling all non-construction goods and services themselves. However, all purchases are approved through the Purchasing Department to verify compliance with District policies and procedures and make sure all Federal and State Guidelines are being followed. All Request for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) are handled through the Purchasing Department.
The School District is committed to providing financial transparency. As such, we make every effort to deliver financial information that is readily accessible and available to our citizens. Our mission is to provide quality service to our customers and vendors, by implementing and supporting processes that provide timely, cost-effective, and high quality contracts. With the implementation of the Transparency Stars Program by the State Comptroller of Public Accounts, there is an additional standard of excellence that the White Settlement ISD will strive to achieve.
During the fiscal year 2017-2018 White Settlement ISD budgeted $3,124,960 in spending for contracts and procurement. Total actual expenditures for the year were $12,478,847 which is $1,822 per student.
These purchases were made through 871 current contracts awarded by White Settlement ISD, as well as hundreds of contracts available through interlocal and cooperative purchasing sources. Six (6) publicly posted opportunities were advertised by White Settlement ISD during the 2017-2018 school year.
