Classes/Workshops

The White Settlement ISD Family Resource Center offers a variety of classes including a Beginner Spanish class and high school equivalency tutoring classes. 

Beginner Spanish Classes
Individuals who speak little or no Spanish can learn along with other beginning Spanish speakers in this fun, informal series, presented by Charles Lavine. 

Classes will be Tuesday evenings, from 6 to 8 p.m. March 20 through May 10. Tuition is $10 and due at the first meeting. The textbook/CD is an additional $10 and must be purchased at the first meeting.

Free child care, coffee and snacks are provided.

The Resource Center is located inside the WSISD Special Programs Building, 8500 Rockway Drive in White Settlement. 

High School Equivalency Tutoring Classes 
Adults interested in earning a High School Equivalency Certificate can get personal tutoring and skills practice in the free Project B.E.S.T. (Basic Education and Skills Training). 

Presented in partnership with the Tarrant Literacy Coalition, classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Family Resource Center, and free child care and snacks are provided.
