Sworn members of the White Settlement ISD Police Department are certified Peace Officers under Texas law and have full law enforcement authority granted to police officers under the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Chapter 14, including powers of arrest for all Federal and State laws within the State of Texas. White Settlement ISD Police Officers also have full traffic enforcement powers within their primary jurisdictional boundaries and when accompanying or escorting students, parents, or District staff on authorized District activities throughout the State of Texas.
WSISD is a growing suburban school district that serves more than 6,900 students who reside in the City of White Settlement and a portion of the City of Fort Worth. The size of the White Settlement ISD Police Department jurisdiction is approximately 25 square miles within Tarrant County, Texas, encompassing and completely surrounding the City of White Settlement.
The district is comprised of nine schools and has nearly 900 employees. WSISD offers four elementary campuses, a Fine Arts Academy, an intermediate school (grades 5 and 6), a middle school (grades 7 and 8), a high school (grades 9 through 12), and an alternative campus.

The White Settlement ISD Police Department has established "Memorandum of Understanding" agreements with the White Settlement Police Department and the Fort Worth Police Department who have concurrent jurisdiction within District boundaries.
