Transporte en autobús
WSISD will continue to provide bus transportation to students who live two or more miles from their home campus. However, in an effort to reduce the number of students on a bus and enhance safety, we encourage parents to drop their students off at school to allow for more space on buses for students who do not have options for arriving to and from school. Please see below for our Health and Safety Protocols that will be implemented on our buses.
After you complete the Bus Rider Registration Form, the Transportation Department will make contact by phone or email to confirm bus stop and pick up times within 3 to 5 days. Students will be required to ride the bus to which they are assigned.
Health & Safety Protocols
- Buses will be thoroughly cleaned after each trip, focusing on high-touch surfaces such as seats, steering wheels, knobs, and door handles. During cleaning, open windows to allow for additional ventilation and air flow.
- Additional routes will be added based on the number of students who will opt to ride the bus, resulting in a decreased number of students on buses.
- Each bus will be equipped with a touchless hand sanitizer dispenser.
- Students will be seated two to a seat in assigned seats.
- The buses will be cleaned and fogged nightly.
We look forward to a great school year and appreciate your patience and support as we prepare for the 2020-21 school year. To view the web pages in Spanish, click on the Google icon on the bottom right of the web page and select Spanish.
