Technology for Staff

Teachers manipulate either online resources to create anchor charts via Google tools, SMART online,  Canva, and/or create paper-based charts (See Thinking Maps resources below, too). Teachers can upload or take and upload pictures of completed charts to Canvas, they can record themselves conducting a direct teach session and upload to Canvas, or use SMART online to upload Anchor Chart/Thinking Maps templates or images from which students can engage in Collaborative Workspace Activities and Handouts.

Teachers (Grades 2-12) utilize this Learning Management System to facilitate online classroom lessons, formative & summative assessments, feedback, grades, etc. 

Teachers employ Canvas, and its integrations, and Google to engage students in writing critically. Teachers integrate Lumio by SMART to employ students' critical thinking skills. 

Teachers provide meaningful feedback via Google tools, Canvas rubrics, and Speed Grader via text or video responses as appropriate.

Daily/Weekly objectives are posted in Canvas via a page that is easily accessible for both students and parents. When possible, standards should be attached to assignments via a Canvas rubric. 

K-2 Teachers utilize this application to facilitate interactive digital lessons, formative assessments, feedback, and parent engagement. 

Teachers employ Flip via Canvas, Canvas Collaborations, Padlet via Canvas, and Canvas Discussion boards to conduct digital conversations managed by the instructor.
